Question by bee: Do ticks prefer long haired dog breeds to short haired breeds?
We have 2 puppies, one chihuahua short hair and one yorkie, long hair. They are only outside about 40% of the day and only the yorkie seems to be prone to ticks. We've only had her 2 weeks and I've found 3 ticks on her in that time frame. We've had the chihuahua about 5 months and the only thing I've ever found on her was ONE flea.
